Marketing Start - TPO

Before you start your business, you had better design its marketing plan as possible as you can. Defining your ideas based on certain marketing framework, it diffidently helps go forward with you ideas.

There are plenty of marketing frameworks around the world. You may know 3C, 4P, 7S and etc etc.

In this blog first, I am going to use TPO marketing framework. I always use this TPO to propose my ideas to new prospects to tell values. It's really important to contemplate them as possbile because a 'value' is a very rough word to everyone. So I will put details on use cases as I use TPO here.

As you may know TPO stands for,

  • T : Time
  • P : Place
  • O : Occasion

Again, that's really really important to consider yourself otherwise you need much time until you have success.

TPO shows a user's value. Also a value can be seen in user's TPO.

Let's see an example. A fresh juice breakfast cafe can offer the followings 3 values.

  • Healthy breakfast
  • Quick breakfast
  • Nutritious breakfast

Saying "we're offering very fresh juice" is not enough for customers to tell your value. You need to specify that value specifically otherwise these customers would not find your service is not related to them.
